Awasi, comes from the quechua word "wasi", that means "house".

In the remote corners of the South American continent — where guardian mountains rise, eternal ice lingers, stars burn brighter, the jungle whispers with wonder and clear crystal beaches glisten in the sun — Awasi Lodges was born to curate your journey.

How it’s started

At Awasi time and space are yours to own. Our lodges are designed to feel like the home of an old friend guiding you through stunning landscapes, native flavors and hidden gems. It’s a fusion of friendship, admiration for the place, and personal hospitality that creates a genuine connection with each guest.
In 2007, Awasi Atacama was born – the first of five very different, unique, intimate and exclusive lodges.

2013

New destinations same spirit

Between 2013 and 2018, Awasi expanded to include lodges in Patagonia and Iguazú, deepening its commitment to tailor-made explorations designed to create memorable, personal and authentic experiences. With each new opening, we fostered a symbiotic relationship with local communities by providing employment opportunities and creating platforms that support their growth and showcase their talents.

2020

Awasi, comes from the quechua word "wasi", that means "house". In 2007, Awasi Atacama was born – the first of five very different, unique, intimate and exclusive lodges.

Awasi’s design is inspired by native culture and history offering private Villa stays that ensure authenticity, comfort and connection to the surroundings. Rooted in a deep respect for nature, the brand aimed to promote sustainability through low-impact explorations and environmentally conscious operations.

2024

New roots in South America

As part of our journey to reach new corners of the continent and offer unique experiences, we welcomed Awasi Santa Catarina (2024) in Southern Brazil, and Awasi Mendoza (2025), in Western Argentina, into the Awasi family.
