Seasons & Climate

The rainy season (January to March) is ideal for experiencing Iguazú Falls at their most powerful, as increased rainfall boosts water flow. Birdlife and rainforest vegetation are vibrant year-round, making every season rewarding depending on whether guests prioritise dramatic scenery or milder temperatures.

We recommend light, breathable, quick-dry clothing, along with a water-repellent outer layer. Other essentials include comfortable walking or hiking shoes, a swimsuit, sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, and any personal medication. A reusable water bottle is provided by Awasi upon arrival.

Yes. Rainfall is common throughout the year in the Atlantic Rainforest. Showers are often heavy but typically short-lived, and most days still include periods of sunshine.

Iguazú has a subtropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. From October to April, temperatures range between approximately 19°C and 32°C, with higher humidity. From May to September, temperatures are cooler, especially at night, ranging between 11°C and 24°C.

Iguazú is a year-round destination, as the climate changes very little throughout the year. January to March is the rainiest period and offers the most dramatic water flow at the falls, while April to September brings slightly cooler temperatures and comfortable conditions for exploring. October to December combines warm weather with lush vegetation.
