Buildings loved by wildlife

Local materials, low impact structures, sensitive architecture, sense of place – all of these are at the heart of the construction of our three lodges: Awasi Atacama, Awasi Patagonia and Awasi Iguazu. Located in contrasting corners of South America, we picked out elements from each destination to create three entirely different styles that work with their environment.

 📍San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Recreating the colours of the mountains

Awasi Atacama is made up of several adobe buildings, each one built using ancient techniques and locally sourced wood, thatch and stone.

📍Torres del Paine, Chile

An outpost worthy of local gauchos

Awasi Patagonia is built on stilts for minimal environmental impact, the stand-alone villas are nestled between native woodland shared with pumas and condors.

📍Iguazu Falls, Argentina

The architecture at Awasi Iguazu was inspired by local ancient missionary ruins, stone and wood are the main materials, with large windows and spacious decking to experience the canopy of the Atlantic Rainforest.

Awasi is the only luxury lodge in Iguazu that allows their guests to experience the Rainforest at their own pace.

All three Awasi lodges are members of Relais & Chateaux. We work to deliver the very best accommodation, gastronomy and excursions. Awasi is unique in that each room is given a private guide and 4×4 vehicle for the duration of their stay.
