It is no secret that Awasi is no typical hotel experience.

Our focus is on personalised activities, combined with extraordinary gastronomy.

With a private guide and a 4×4 vehicle for each room, a lengthy list of excursions and a private Relais & Chateaux restaurant at each of our three properties, we aim to generate immersive experiences that showcase the best of each destination, on an entirely tailor-made basis.

Wellbeing with a sense of place

It is, therefore, a deliberate decision not to have traditional spas at our lodges.

Instead, we offer in-room (or in-villa) therapies at each one of our hotels, offering treatments uniquely designed with each location in mind.

Awasi Atacama

Awasi Atacama is located at 2,500 metres above sea level, in one of the sunniest, and driest, places on Earth.

Some of our excursions, designed to show guests the remarkable natural features of the Atacama Desert, including salt flats, geysers, other-worldly rock formations and cactus-strewn valleys, reach heights of up to 6,000 metres above sea level.

To give the body time to adjust to the altitude and aridity, it is important to keep hydrated, and to rest and take it slow for the first day or two in particular.

Our specialty wellness treatments at Awasi Atacama are deep tissue and relaxation massages – ideal to help acclimatise to the high-plateau desert conditions.

These treatments improve circulation and oxygenation in the blood stream, and have been specifically designed to help guests recover faster following their arrival.

Given Awasi Atacama is also a romantic destination, popular among honeymooners, our couple’s massage is another popular option. Performed in the privacy of your suite or private patio, it is the perfect option to help couples thoroughly relax.

Awasi Patagonia

Awasi Patagonia is located on the edge of the iconic Torres del Paine National Park, with views overlooking the “torres” themselves; three spectacular peaks that pierce the expanse of Patagonian sky.

This far South, deep in Chilean Patagonia, the days are long.

The sun shines until well past 9pm during the summer months, and our excursions – treks, puma and guanaco spotting, glacier visits and more – are designed to make the most of the natural light.

After active, adventurous days exploring Torres del Paine, our massages at Awasi Patagonia are focused on helping guests recover from the exertions of the day, stretching and easing aching muscles and aiding recovery after a day out in the elements.

Combine a massage with some time in your villa’s private, outdoor, wood-fired hot tub; aromatherapy salts aid in reducing inflammation and removing toxins, and the setting is a balm for the mind.

Each of our villas overlook the vast Paine massif, and are surrounded by native lenga forest to provide a true sense of calm after a busy day of exploration.

Awasi Iguazú

In the Atlantic Rainforest, where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay meet and the languorous Paraná river converges with the Iguazú, the weather is typically hot and humid, especially during the summer.

Visitors to Awasi Iguazú are able to enjoy the spectacular Iguazú Falls, explore the forests and lakes and surrounding biodiversity, visit local Guaraní communities and marvel at Jesuit ruins built deep in the jungle.

After busy, sticky days in the warm rainforest, wellness treatments are the order of the day!

Aside from the our ever-popular relaxation and deep tissue massages, we have designed lymphatic drainage massages, reflexology and hydrating facial cleanses – perfect to cleanse, restore and freshen up both body and mind.

Wellness treatments at Iguazú can be enjoyed in the privacy of your private villa, perfect for a post-massage dip in your private plunge pool.

Guests are also welcome to visit our recently-opened natural spa, built deep in the rainforest overlooking a small river.

Private yoga classes, meditation and sound healing sessions are available to help guests relax and connect with the natural surroundings for a truly nature-based wellness experience.
