Awasi Atacama – Relais & Chateaux has grown and has a new layout: we have acquired a new plot of land alongside the existing Round Suites, upon which we have built 5 new Superior Circular Suites. 

The Rectangular Suites and reception (across the road) will no longer be used, and the hotel will now have a total of 12 round suites, all located together on the same side as the pool, restaurant and existing Round Suites. 

The 5 new Superior Circular Suites measure up 70 square metres, each with its own private patio and outdoor shower.

All 12 Circular Rooms are now located on the same side of the road, alongside the Restaurant and the pool.

Built in local materials like adobe, wood and stone, all 12 rooms feature organic shapes that mimic the real-life oasis that is San Pedro de Atacama.

Opening back in 2007, Awasi Atacama was the first of our three hotels, followed by Awasi Patagonia in 2013, and Awasi Iguazu in 2018. This year, Awasi Atacama was included in the Conde Nast Traveller Gold List and in the Brides Magazine Honeymoon Awards.

Built in the traditional pre-Inca style using local materials (stone, adobe and wood), the 5 new suites measure 70 square metres, each with its own private patio and outdoor shower.
