After being challenged by our friends at the Londolozi Game Reserve a few months ago, the team at Awasi Iguazu finally got around to doing their own version of the #JerusalemaDanceChallenge. We hope you enjoy watching our team dance on the shores of the Iguazu River just below our Relais & Chateaux lodge in northern Argentina.
Over the past months, the song called “Jerusalema” (produced by South African artist DJ Master KG) trended on social media and one can find all sorts of interpretations of the dance challenge. It has taken on many meanings for different people around the world, but most agree it is a hymn about unity, diversity and hope.
Ultimately, we thought of it as an excuse to spread a little joy, and the team at Awasi Iguazu was eager to take on the challenge.
Effectively, the video was hugely popular on our Facebook page. We were moved by the comments from people who watched, here are a few:
“How cute!!! In the midst of so many bad moments and fears, watching this video with so many cheerful people brought me a smile!! Long live my beloved Iguazu!!! Better times are coming.” – Marcela on facebook.
“After seeing so much sad news [due to the pandemic] … this delightful video made my day !! ..nice to see them like this filled with joy and having fun as children… sometimes we need to be those kids playful again. I loved the video.” – Lorena on Facebook.
“How great that the staff have such amazing moves. This team deserves all the care and thanks for being such good hosts!!” – Laura on instagram.
Awasi Iguazu is a 14-villa hotel offering unique experiences in and around the Iguazu Falls. Each room is given a private guide and 4×4 vehicle so that guests can create their own itinerary to suit their needs and interests. No two stays are the same.
We needn’t say anything further about our wonderful team – this video says it all. They are in a league of their own.
