Part of the excitement of travel is planning your next trip. According to scientists at Cornell University, and as reported in National Geographic, “planning and anticipating a trip can be almost as enjoyable as going on the trip itself.”

To allow you to get a better idea of the excursions available at Awasi Iguazu, our Relais & Chateaux lodge in Northern Argentina, we have created a new interactive guide. Who else loves poring over a map, deciding how to fill the following days?

In the Main Lodge of all three Awasi hotels, we have an area dedicated to planning. Your private guide will cover the table with maps and books filled with details about Iguazu and the surrounding Atlantic Rainforest.

Then it’s time to decide what you would like to do during your stay!

Iguazu Falls, Argentina

Many guests start with exclusive early access to the star of the area, the Iguazu Falls. However, Awasi’s private outings make it possible to explore the entire Misiones region, including boat rides in the three Awasi boats.

A large range of active options from cycling to kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

Many people are surprised to hear that there are native communities in Iguazu. We love visiting our Guarani neighbours who are talented artisans and have many wise traditions and beliefs that we can learn from.

As well as seeing natural beauty and meeting local people, there are Jesuit Missionary Ruins within reach of Awasi Iguazu.
